Tylose MH 2000 YP2 is a water-soluble, non-ionic methyl hydroxyethyl cellulose powder with standard etherification.
Tylose MH 2000 YP2 provides increased biostability, low gloss appearance, good anti-spattering properties, and moderate wet scrub resistance.
This grade of methyl hydroxyethyl cellulose (MHEC), Tylose MH 2000 YP2 , is ideal for use in cement paints, distempers, and lime-wash paints.

Methylhydroxyethyl cellulose.
Tylose MH 2000 YP2 offers very high water retention, low gloss, low pigment compatibility, low pseudoplasticity, moderate thickening effect, and moderate wet scrub resistance.
Tylose MH 2000 YP2 exhibits good anti-spattering.
Tylose MH 2000 YP2 is used for paint applications like solid paints, powder paints, limewash paints, cement paints, distempers, and emulsion based plasters.

Recommended uses of Tylose MH 2000 YP2 :
-Rheological Additive
-Special applications
-Coating material

Tylose MHEC (methyl hydroxyethyl cellulose/Tylose MH-grades) are water soluble, nonionic cellulose ethers, which are offered as free flowing powder or in granular form.
Tylose MHEC may contain further additives which for example control the dissolution behavior or the thickening power.

Packaging, storage, safety instructions of Tylose MH 2000 YP2:
As with all organic powdered substances, cellulose ethers pose a dust explosion hazard.
To avoid flammable dust-air mixtures, the risk of dust formation and accumulation must be minimized.

Avoid fire sources such as open flames, hot surfaces, sparks, electrical disturbances.
Tylose begins to decompose at around 200˚C.
The flash point is greater than 360˚C.

Tylose MH 2000 YP2 for use in construction
Restrictions on use : There is no information available on applications that are not advised

Tylose burns easily and the fire can spread.
Tylose can be stored for a long time if stored in a closed container or in Tylose MH 2000 YP2s original packaging, in a dry place at room temperature.
For high-viscosity types, slight loss of viscosity may occur after long-term storage (more than 1 year).
Tylose absorbs water from humid air.
The opened container must be resealed.
