TYLOSE MH 10007 P4

Tylose MH 10007 P4 is a water-soluble, non-ionic, modified methyl hydroxyethyl cellulose powder with standard etherification.
Tylose MH 10007 P4 provides fast consistency development and has moderate sag resistance, water demand, water retention, heat stability, and influence on cement duration.
Tylose MH 10007 P4 is particularly well-suited for use in cement decorative render and EIFS applications.

Tylose MHEC (methyl hydroxyethyl cellulose/Tylose MH-grades) are water soluble, nonionic cellulose ethers, which are offered as free flowing powder or in granular form.
Tylose MHEC may contain further additives which for example control the dissolution behavior or the thickening power.

Tylose can be either pressed into the base material or Tylose MH 10007 P4 can be applied to the finished granules.
In the first case, the base material is usually wood powder and the pellets — including Tylose — are produced via extrusion.
Tylose is typically added in a dosage of 6 – 7 % w/w.
In the latter case, when Tylose is added to finished granules, these should be wetted prior to the application of Tylose.
This enhances the amount of absorption on the surface.
Typical dosage of Tylose is 4 – 5 % w/w.

Tylose products provide the following properties for the oil and gas industry:
Rheology modification
High salt tolerance
Fluid loss minimization
Clear Solution
Furthermore, Tylose HEC as a naturally derived polymer, is easily biodegradable.

storage, safety instructions
As with all organic powdered substances, cellulose ethers pose a dust explosion hazard.
To avoid flammable dust-air mixtures, the risk of dust generation and accumulation must be minimized.
Avoid fire sources such as open flames, hot surfaces, sparks, electrical disturbances.
Tylose begins to decompose at around 200 ° C.
The flash point is greater than 360 ° C.

In the field of Home care the following properties of Tylose are particularly significant:
Thickening / adjustment of consistency

Tylose MH 10007 P4 Storage stability
High compatibility with other raw materials such as surfactants.

Tylose MH 10007 P4 Home care
Tylose delayed solubility grades have important characteristics which make them appropriate as thickeners in cleaner formulations:
Easy incorporation in the formulation, solutions of good clarity, good compatibility with ionic surfactants and good storage stability.

Tylose burns easily and the fire can spread.
Tylose can be stored for a long time if stored in a closed container or in its original packaging, in a dry place at room temperature.
For high viscosity types, slight loss of viscosity may occur after long-term storage (more than 1 year).
Tylose absorbs water from humid air.
The opened container must be resealed.

Tylose for Pet Litter
Eco-friendly pet litters are becoming increasingly popular.
They have advantages over conventional mineral based materials where ecological and health aspects are concerned.
Produced from minerals and often transported over long distances, mineral based pet litters are ecologically disadvantageous.
Moreover they are not biodegradable and not flushable.
Mineral based pet litters can produce silica dust, which is suspected to cause health problems in pets, particularly if they have longterm exposure to Tylose MH 10007 P4 or have respiratory issues.

Alternative eco-friendly base materials are available.
Typical examples are granulated wood powder and agricultural refuse such as wheat husks and corncobs.
An important requirement of pet litter is Tylose MH 10007 P4s ability to form clumps.
Eco-friendly material usually does not have this property or its clumping ability varies according to the quality of the material.
Reliable binding additives are therefore needed to improve the clumping properties of the base material.
High viscosity grades of Tylose MH and Tylose MHS can successfully achieve this

Tylose HEC is used by the oil and gas industry for various applications such as rheology modification in fluids for drilling and completion of petroleum and natural gas wells.
Tylose HEC grades are used as viscosifiers in drilling fluids, particularly in heavy brines for completion and workover operations.
Since Tylose HEC forms stable solutions with high salt concentrations, Tylose MH 10007 P4 is perfectly suitable for the viscosifying of these fluids.
Use of Tylose HEC gives other benefits, such as higher drilling rates and increased oil production and Tylose MH 10007 P4 is easily degradable with chemical and enzyme based breakers.

Oil and Gas Industry
Tylose is highly suitable in different oilfield applications
Furthermore, Tylose is used in hydraulic fracturing processes and Tylose MH 10007 P4 is an effective fluid-loss additive in well cements.
Tylose HEC is compatible with most additives such as biocides, antifoaming agents, oxygen scavengers, fluid loss control additives and retarders.
As a naturally derived polymer, Tylose MH 10007 P4 is easily biodegradable.

Tylose – the additive for multiple fields of application
Tylose MC- and Tylose HEC-types are water-soluble cellulose ethers, produced from cellulose.
Cellulose ethers are manly used as thickeners, binders, water retaining agents and dispersing agents.
SE Tylose GmbH & Co. KG supplies more than 200 different Tylose products for many applications, whose end products can be found in almost all areas of every day life.

The most important fields of application for Tylose are as additives for building and coating materials.
In building materials, for example, Tylose enables the use of machine applied plasters and guarantees a highly efficient application on ceilings and walls.
Tylose prevents the sedimentation of coatings and allows an even, almost spatter-free application of the paint.
