Product Description
PP (polypropylene) granulate is a non-toxic, odorless, tasteless, creamy, highly crystalline polymer with a density of only 0.90 – “0.91g/cm3”, making it one of the lightest plastics on the market today. It is particularly stable to water, with a water absorption rate of 0.01% and a molecular weight of about 81.15 million. The molding performance is good, but due to the large shrinkage rate (1%~2.5%), the thick-walled products are easy to sag, and it is difficult to meet the requirements for some parts with high dimensional accuracy requirements, and the surface of the products is shiny.
Polypropylene is a high molecular polymer polymerized from propylene monomer. Its English name is polypropylene, abbreviated as PP. The production process of polypropylene can be divided into five categories according to the type of polymerization: solution method, slurry method, bulk method, gas-phase method, and bulk method – Chemicalbook gas-phase combination process. Polypropylene has become the fastest growing plastic variety, ranking third in production after polyethylene and polyvinyl chloride.
