PE Wax
Introduction
PE WAX is a kind of chemical material. The color of PE WAX is white microbeads/sheets, which is formed by the processing agent of vinyl polymerized rubber. It has the characteristics of high melting point, high hardness, high gloss, white color and so on.PE wax is a low molecular weight polyethylene homopolymer or copolymer widely used in coatings.By wax, we mean that the polymer eventually acts as a microcrystalline floating cloth on the coating similar to paraffin but more diverse and practical than paraffin.
The role of PE wax
PE wax in high temperature (about 100-140 ℃) dissolved in solvent, and precipitation when cooled to room temperature, in the form of microcrystalline exists in coating, because of its thixotropy is advantageous to the storage of paint, and applications in coating construction, migration to coating surface during the solvent evaporation, and eventually other components to form a “wax” surface.The effect of PE waxes depends on the following factors: the variety and specification of PE waxes, the fineness of particles formed in the end, the ability to migrate to the surface layer of the film and the composition of the coating, the nature of the substrate being coated, and the method of construction and application.
