MBT is a light yellow acicular crystalline chemical. MBT melting point is 100-104℃, sight soluble in other organic solvents, soluble in water at the degree of 0.4%, and stable under acid conditions.
MBT is an efficient, broad-spectrum germicide & algaecide & displaying strong extermination effects against Germs, Fungus, and Algae existing in circulating water. MBT maintains long-term effects and is applicable to broad pH value and temperature ranges. Using 3-4ppm MBT kills over 90% of nitrosation germs, sulfate reducing germs, colon bacillus, anti-nitrosation germs and many other types of germs. MBT liquid is stable, and MBT can decompose shortly in application. MBT has analysis method and is easy for monitoring, so MBT is safe for discharge.

MBT can increase oil production by reducing oil layer contamination, preventing clay form expanding, and disinfecting. MBT can also be used to protect packing paper from going molding, treat circulating cooling water, and remove marine organisms from marine liners. MBT has excellent effects of anti-corrosion, germicide and algaecide for electrical materials, bamboo and wooden ware, coatings, rubber, canvas, glue and ink.

MBT 1% emulsion is a kind of efficient, broad-spectrum and safe agricultural germicide, having good effects against diseases of rice and wheat. Within the recommended quantity, MBT is safe to rice seed and increases germination percentage. As MBT is an organic thiocyano germicide, it can solve the problem of anti-pesticide property developed by the widely used absorbing germicides. Whenused in treating rice seed, MBT does not need presoaking or after-washing. MBT can be used directly in germination and seeding.

Methylene bis(thiocyanate) is a member of the class of thiocyanates that is methane in which two of the hycrogens have been replaced by thiocyanato groups.
Methylene bis(thiocyanate) is used as a biocide for the control of various pathogens and algae in industrial water systems and as a fungicide for the control of surface moulds and sapstain fungi on wood.
Methylene bis(thiocyanate) has a role as a fungicide and an antibacterial agent.

Methylene bis(thiocyanate) is used as a microbiocide/microbiostat, fungicide/fungistat, algicide, and disinfectant.
End-use products are formulated as a soluble concentrate/liquid, a ready-to-use liquid, and a soluble concentrate/solid.
Methylene bis(thiocyanate) is employed in water cooling systems, paint manufacturing, metalworking cutting fluids, pulp and paper mills, oil drilling/mud packing fluids, leather processing, wood pressure treatments (forest products), wood protection treatments to buildings/products, and latex paints (in-can).

Methylene bis(thiocyanate) is applied by applicator rolls; brush; chemical pump; dip tank; drip-feed device; metering pump; paintbrush; roller; sprayer; sprinkler can; or from a tank.

Methylene Bis Thiocyanate is non-metallic organosulfur biocide. It possesses excellent fungicidal, algaecidal, and bactericidal properties. It can be formulated for convenient use as a solution in many organic solvents or as an aqueous dispersion. It is a crystalline solid thus avoiding dusting. It is stable across wide range of pH and shows a very rapid kill against microbial species.

MBT can increase oil production by reducing oil layer contamination and preventing clay form expanding and disinfecting. MBT can also be used to protect packing paper from moulding, cooling water, and removes marine organisms from marine liners.

MBT has good effects of anti-corrosion germicide and algaecide for electrical materials, bamboo and wooden ware, coatings, rubber, canvas, glue and ink.

MBT 1% emulsion is a broad-spectrum and safe agricultural germicide, with good effects against diseases of rice and wheat.

 

Applications:

MBT has excellent penetration properties which make it suitable for preservation of wood and leather.
It is recommended for leather processing at pre-tanning stage where high levels of bacterial and fungal contaminants are present.
