Light Calcium Arbonate
Introduction
Light calcium arbonate is the raw materials such as limestone calcined lime (calcium oxide) and carbon dioxide, then add water to digest lime to generate lime milk (for calcium hydroxide), and then pass into the carbon dioxide carbide lime milk calcium carbonate precipitation, after dehydration, finally, made by drying and crushing.Or it can be prepared by the double decomposition reaction of sodium carbonate and calcium chloride to form calcium carbonate precipitation, and then by dehydration, drying and crushing.As the settling volume of light calcium carbonate (2.4-2.8ml /g) is larger than that of mass calcium carbonate (1.1-1.4ml /g), it is called light calcium carbonate.
Properties:
White powder.Tasteless and odorless.Specific gravity is about 2.71.In the 825 ~ 896.6 & ordm;C decomposition.Melting point of 1339 & ordm;C.There are amorphous and crystalline forms, and the crystalline forms can be divided into rhombic and hexagonal systems, which are columnar or rhombic.Insoluble in water and alcohol.Dissolve in acid, release carbon dioxide at the same time, show exothermic reaction.It’s also soluble in ammonium chloride.Stable in air with slight moisture absorption.
Usage:
Used for rubber and plastic, fillers for paper, coatings and inks, etc.Widely used in organic synthesis, metallurgy, glass and asbestos production.It can also be used as a medium for industrial wastewater, an acid preparation agent for stomach and duodenal ulcer, an antidote for acidosis, a SO2 elimination agent for waste gas containing SO2, a filler for dairy cattle feed and an antisticking agent for felt.Can also be used as tooth powder, toothpaste and other cosmetics raw materials.
