Product description: Kyanite belongs to triclinic crystal system, its crystal shape often present a compressed columnar form, most color is blue, bluish grey or light white, etc. With vitreous luster, like pearl luster on the joints. It hardness have significant difference on dfferent azimuth, the mohs hardness is 4.5 on {100} crystal faces, while on the vertical crystal extension direction, the mohs hardness reachs 6.5~7.0, therefore, kyanite is called rock with two kinds of hardness. Kyanite translated into mullite and molten state dissociative silicon dioxide (cristobalite) via calcining under a high temperature (1100 ~ 1650℃), at the same time, its volume expansion will happen to a certain extent.
