Introduction: Performance characteristics of fluorescent brightenerThe color of fluorescent brightener is blue. It is a pure fluorescent whitening agent, which is used for various special purposes without fillers. It has a pale yellow powder appearance, tasteless, melting point of 196-203℃, decomposition temperature of more than 220℃, and is insoluble in water and soluble in a variety of organic solvents.The maximum absorption wavelength of the fluorescent brightener spectrum is 374nm, and the maximum fluorescence emission wavelength is 434nm.
Use of fluorescent brightener: fluorescent brightener can be used in thermoplastic plastics, such as PVC, PF, PP, PS, ABS, etc.Good heat resistance and light resistance.Also used for some fiber, paint, coating, high-grade paper, ink whitening or security marking.
Method of use of fluorescent brightener: The fluorescent brightener can be used for polymer whitening in each processing stage. The whitening agent OB can be fully mixed with all kinds of plastic particles with 0.01%~0.05% of the plastic weight for forming processing.The fluorescent whitening agent OB can be shared with dyes to produce a special brightness, which is particularly effective in colour formulations.Due to the small amount of fluorescent brightener, it should be thoroughly dispersed in the whole polymer.If any UV absorbent is added to the polymer, care should be taken to adjust the optimum dosage of the ffluorescent brightener.Amount of fluorescent brightener: PVC white is 0.01%~0.05%, transparent is 0.0001%~0.001%;PS white is about 0.001% and transparent is 0.0001%~0.001%.The natural color of ABS is 0.01%~0.05%, and the white color is 0.01%~0.05%.PE, PP colorless for 0.0005%~0.001%, white for 0.005%~0.05%.The optimal dosage of fluorescent whitening agent OB depends on its compatibility with the polymer. Excessive dosage of fluorescent whitening agent will cause incompatibility and migration.So in the light of specific dosage problems, plastic state recommendations or consulting professional fluorescent whitening agent manufacturers are more reliable.
