Description
TCC’s ChemFlexx DUP DiUndecyl Phthalate (DUP) is a non-toxic, colorless, odorless, oily liquid compound that is less dense than water. Its chemical name is 1,2-Benzenedicarboxylicacid, 1,2-diundecyl ester. Its formula is C30H50O4. DUP is insoluble in water.
DUP is the phthalate ester of undecyl (linear C-11) alcohol. It is an excellent primary plasticizer. Particularly, it has favorable cold temperature and volatility resistance. As a matter of course, the liquid compound undergoes less physical property change after being aged. DUP has a wide range of industrial applications.
DUP produces no ill effects at normal temperatures, but may give off irritating vapor at elevated temperatures.
