Introduction
Impact modifier chlorinated polyethylene (CPE) is a kind of non-self-reinforcing rubber.

It needs a reinforcing system to achieve good strength.Its reinforcing filler system is similar to general rubber, and the reinforcing agent is mainly carbon black and silica. Silica can improve the tearing resistance of chlorinated polyethylene, and form meso-white system to improve the adhesion between chlorinated polyethylene and skeleton.Chlorinated polyethylene has high filling property, and the filling system mainly includes calcium carbonate, talcum powder and clay, etc.
Plasticizing system
Ester plasticizers and aromatic hydrocarbon plasticizers are the most commonly used plasticizers for chlorinated polyethylene, such as dioctyl terephthalate (DOTP), dioctyl adipate (DOA), trioctyl tribenzoate, aromatic oil, etc. Their solubility parameters are close to CM, and their compatibility is good.Dioctyl phthalate (DOP) has been discontinued due to environmental concerns.DOA and DOS can be used in the adhesive to give the adhesive excellent cold resistance, DOS is very suitable for heat resistance, low temperature resistance at the same time there are requirements.
Stability protection system
When chlorinated polyethylene is heated or vulcanized (non-peroxides vulcanization system), hydrogen chloride will be released, so acid absorbent stabilizers such as calcium stearate, barium stearate, lead trisalt sulfate, or magnesium oxide should be used in the formulation.
